Five Things To Complete Your Basketball Gear

Playing basketball may not seem like a tough thing to do. However, if you have ever watched a game of basketball, you will see that it is a really long game. Of course, you can't on the court all the time.

But when you are on the court playing, you need all the right gear to keep you on your toes and playing your best throughout your time there. This means that you have to be in complete basketball armor so that you can play the game right. Even the best basketball players know that they have to be decked to the nine with the right basketball gear. Here is a rundown of things you may need from head to toe.

• Head sweat band – If you are someone who runs around, dribbles the ball and sweats a lot from the head down, you will probably need one of these. You will not only be keeping your head dry but you will prevent sweat from trickling down to your face which can be a major distraction. Make sure you have one of these if you need one. You will definitely perform better on the court without all your sweat making the floor slippery as well.

• Jersey – Basketball jerseys are the way they are because they need to be light and you need to be able to stay cool on the court as you build up heat from running around and shooting baskets. This is the reason that most basketball uniforms are made of a material like nylon or polyester. It keeps you cool and gives you the freedom to move. Make sure that you have a jersey that isn't too tight or baggy so that you can move around properly.

• Shorts – Basketball shorts are made of the same material that jerseys are for the same reason of keeping you cool on the court. In the past, basketball shorts used to be quite short. These days, you will find that basketball shorts that reach the top of your knee are more appropriate to use and better as well since the material can absorb the sweat that leaks out of your body.

• Socks – As you play, you will find that you need socks that are not too thin but just thick enough that it won't seem like you are slipping on the court rather than running. You will be surprised to find that your socks will be the wettest garment after a basketball game. This is the reason why you need long enough socks that will absorb a lot of moist. They should be comfortable and warm as well.

• Sneakers – The most important thing on the court is to have a great pair of basketball sneakers. To protect your ankles, these should be cut high and the soles should also be soft so that you land properly and safely without twisting anything. Invest in a pair of good rubber shoes that will allow you to move gracefully on the court and protect your feet at the same time.
